Clothes. Style. That’s what this is about. Mostly mine. But, I am checking you out, too. I get ideas from you. When you look good, I notice. Sometimes you miss the mark, and I’m going to have to point that out. I get as good as I give, so you’ll see and read about my bad decisions here, too.
I feel I need to attempt to define my style here since this is “ABOUT” this blog, which is more or less my alter ego. The short answer is “it depends.” Good lawyer answer. (I am a lawyer, but you will like me anyway.) It depends, not on weather or money or position in life. It depends on influences. I am currently crushing hard on vintage dresses, and my biggest influence right now is my favorite vintage store and the goddess who owns it. My growing trove of 50s, 60s, and 70s dresses is a direct result of her and her store. (If you play your cards right, I may identify this nirvana, but only after I ascertain that you are not the same size as me. It’s that good.) The other key influence is the New York Times Sunday Style section. Critical to everything. Pick it up, people; you’ll see what I mean.
